Mr Paul Gray won Division 1 with a net 66 on count-back from Mr Gernot Schmid.

Division 2 was won by Mr Ken Micallef with a net 66. The runner-up was Mr Matthew Cassar Torregiani with a net 68, winning after count-back from Mr Stephen Jones.

The winner of Division 3 was Mr Emmanuel Agius who scored a net 65. The runner-up was Mr Adin Bundic with a net 68.

Carisma Spa Stableford Result

Carisma Spa generously sponsored the Ladies Stableford today for the 2nd year running.  Carisma Spa are situated at the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julian’s and boast the only Turkish Hamman (Turkish Bath) in Malta.  The winning 3 ladies will now experience an authentic Turkish bath and other treatments. Doreen Balzan took the top honour with 37 points followed by her daughter, Leann, who clinched the 2nd prize from Milja Bakker on count back both with 35 points each.  Several ladies had a real treat after their rounds as Carisma brought along one of their therapists who is an expert in back and neck massage.  A very enjoyable lunch of cold meats and cheeses was provided by the Ladies Section.

RMGC partners with RTFX Ltd.


It’s said that good business is done on a golf course and the Royal Malta Golf Club is proof of just that. The club recently signed a corporate partnership with international online financial services company RTFX Ltd.

HSBC Scratch Challenge Cup Day 2

Mr Andy Borg won the HSBC Scratch Challenge Cup with an aggregate score of 145. Mr Paul Stoner was the runner-up with an aggregate score of 146. Mr Quint Van Beek placed third with an aggregate score of 148, winning on count-back from Mr John Micallef.

HSBC Kinnard Centenary Trophy

Mr Ivan Micallef was the winner of the HSBC Kinnard Centenary Trophy with a net 67. The runner-up, after a four-way count-back, was Mr Joseph S. Sullivan with a net 68.

IIG Falcon Trophy Result

The final Round of the IIG Falcon Trophy was won by M. Uechi with a score of 37 points runner up was A. Macdonald on count back from Mia Allsopp with 34 points.

The winning team was once again team O’Brien who was also the overall winner of the competition with 23 points the runners up were team J. Scicluna with 19 points.  Mr. N. Stibbs from IIG Bank presented the Falcon Trophy to the winners and the Eyas cup to the runners up.

The competition was followed by a curry lunch sponsored by IIG Bank a lovely end to an enjoyable team competition.

Ms Stephanie Sciberras was the overall winner, winning on count-back with an excellent 40 points. Ms Maureen Borg was the ladies’ runner-up (40 points). The best man was Mr Pierre Faure (40 points) and the men’s runner-up was Mr Ray Mountford with 39 points.
