RMGC Nomination

As a result of Doug Nelson’s resignation as Treasurer and Member of the RMGC Board – see Paul Stoner’s recent announcement – there is now a “casual vacancy” on the Board that needs to be filled in a by-election in line with Rule 6.3.15 in our Constitution.

I explained the process at the AGM but for those who were unable to attend:

1.      The Board is keen to receive nominations on the official Nomination Forms which are available from the Office. These must be submitted by 1700 hours on Friday 11th July at the latest.

2.      A list of all valid nominations will be posted on the club notice board by 0900 on Monday 14th July.

3.      Full Voting Members are invited to place their votes with the Office in confidence by 1700 hours at the latest on Friday 19th July.

4.      The results of this bye-election will be posted on the club notice board as soon as the result has been declared by the scrutineers who will be appointed by the BOM.

We look forward to receiving a number of nominations.

RMGC Notice

Those who were unable to attend the recent AGM may not be aware that Doug Nelson, the Treasurer, tendered his resignation because of pressure of work. Doug has made a major contribution to the financial affairs of our Club over the last 12 months. He has introduced process and greater transparency as evidenced by his detailed report on our 2013 accounts at the AGM. He will be sorely missed on the Board. However we are delighted that we will still be able to call on his expertise as he has agreed to stand on the Finance Committee.
