Further to the recent installation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in the RMGC Clubhouse, a presentation on its operation has been arranged for Wednesday 5th August at 18:00 in the Torrens Suite, to be delivered by Technoline Ltd.
You are all invited to attend and I would urge you to take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with this remarkable device. You will be able to ask any relevant questions to the presenter and get some hands on experience with a demonstration AED.

The RMGC has purchased an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the benefit if its members and visitors. For those of you unfamiliar with such a device, it is to be used in emergency situations involving a cardiac arrest.
The AED is located in a case on the right hand side of the main exit to the RMGC clubhouse. The case is fitted with anti-tamper seals and an alarm will sound when the AED is removed from the case. Therefore emergency use only, please.
The AED is fully automatic, and has voice instructions to guide even those with no First Aid knowledge through its operation. Further information can be obtained by following the following link Powerheart G5 AED.
While operation of the device in an emergency would, where possible be undertaken by a member of staff, we would stress that time is critical in such instances. When staff are not present, the initiative of members will be required in order to respond most effectively to such an emergency.
Any questions regarding this matter should be directed to the RMGC Office.
26 players enjoyed the challenge of a different golf course yesterday. Gernot Schmidt won with a very credible net 67 and the runner up was John Halliday with a net 69, on countback from J Micallef.
