Ladies Qualifying Stableford 24 March
Mia Allsopp continued her winning streak today with 36 points followed by Anne Thompson and Jenny Scicluna, both with 32 points. Congratulations to all.
St Patricks String Competition
The All Ireland Team Peter Coleman, Patrick Carey, Matthew Mullan and Richard Gray, were appropriate winners of the St. Patrick’s String Competion with 114 points on a countback from Filfa, Mark Magro, Francis Busuttil, Martin Azzopardi and Johann Camilleri.
The prizes were donated and presented respectively by the Irish Ambassador, and the Irish Emerald Society. Thanks to everyone involved for taking part, and making it a very successful day!
We had 96 golfers on the course, so we really stressed the course, and completed in about 4 ½ hrs, and had 120 people for an excellent lunch. Thanks to the Catering staff for coping with such a large number of diners. Thanks also to Eileen Borg for enlisting the band “Celtic Connections”, also Eileen and Ann Marie Awad for decorating the restaurant. The Pro shop did their usual efficient collection of the competition fee, which raised over €400 Euros for the Captain’s Charity.
A great day was had by all.
‘Mr & ‘Mrs (Sponsor: mfd) Medal Handicap Cup Results
Congratulations to Mia Allsopp who won the MHC Silver Division cup on countback from Maria Woodward and also to Valerie Simpson who was our Bronze Division winner and whose first day round earned Valerie a 3 shot reduction.
