Please remember to input your score into the monitor on completion of your round, and post your card into the grey box, or hand to a member of the competition committee.
Areas on fairways that are G.U.R. have been marked.
NEWLY TURFED AREAS ON THE PUTTING GREENS
The newly turfed areas on the putting greens may be considered as Abnormal Ground Conditions from which relief may be taken according to Rule 25-1.
Hence, if the player’s ball lies on the putting green and the abnormal ground condition intervenes the line of putt, the player may lift the ball and place it, without penalty, at the nearest point of relief. The nearest point of relief may be off the putting green.
Relief MU ST NOT be taken if the interference by the abnormal ground condition is solely due to the player’s stance or if the intervention is on the line of play when the ball is not on the putting green.
Although the fairly new ‘online’ and ‘touch screen’ procedure for registering scores and signing up for Competitions is working well, there are far too many Members leaving sign up’s too late.
How Did I Do (http://www.how-did-i-do.co.uk/) is the website from which you may log in, and sign up for competitions, also you may sign up via the PSiTouch Screen monitor currently located just outside the upstairs bar area, towards the changing rooms. We advise that you, on a Saturday having registered your score onto the Screen, also sign up for any competition the following week to save disappointment.
Competition Secretary, Richard Waterhouse, commences Sign up for Competitions, whereby, utilising either of the above mentioned methods, from midday on a Wednesday, and 10 days before the Saturday competition, and closes the following Wednesday at midday to allow the draw to take place, and the start sheet to be placed online on the RMGC website.
I understand not all Members are computer experienced, so please visit the Office and ask Elisa for some help setting up on How Did I Do or Committee or fellow Members to assist you.
We have now 6 Members on Reserve for this Saturday’s popular Monthly Medal and very likely, that there will be disappointments.
Finally, a 2nd PSi Touch Screen has been ordered and should be with us at RMGC within a couple of weeks or so, this will be placed downstairs, with one remaining upstairs, by the RMGC Notice board.
Thanking you in advance.
Kindly note that the website is undergoing scheduled maintenance on Friday 30th September; for this reason the website won’t be accessible for the whole day.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused,
