Tennis Works on Courts 7 to 10

Dear Members,

The tennis section will be installing new floodlights on tennis courts 7 to 10 commencing Tuesday 3rd April.

Please note that the major works commencing Tuesday 3rd April will start with trenching works from the main club reception to the courts themselves. There may be some inconvenience to members and visitors walking down to the golf club for the first two weeks. The Marsa Sports Club will do their best to complete the work in front of main building of the main club house and the pathway leading to the golf club so as to minimise any inconvenience. They are working together with the contractor to make sure that members are not aggravated. However, we ask members to kindly co-operate with them and take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience caused during the period of works.

Kind regards,
RMGC Office

29 March Step Aside Scramble V3

29 March Step Aside Scramble Start Sheet V3

Step Aside Scramble Rules

All 3 players tee off.

The best drive is selected, the driver ‘steps aside’, and the other two players play the 2nd shot.

The best shot is selected, the person hitting that shot ‘steps aside’, and the other two players play the 3rd shot, etc.

Whoever sinks the putt then ‘steps aside’ and only 2 players tee off on the next hole.

Players may take their shots in any order.

Minimum of 5 drives per player, keeping in mind that if you hole the putt you can’t drive at the next hole.

15 % of the combined handicap is subtracted from the gross score. The decimal point will help avoid ties.

RMGC Office

Dear members,

Wedgwood Day 2

The course is open, but be aware it is damp, and we do have to be respectful of the course. Repair divots and pitchmarks. Keep trolleys in the rough.

The RMGC is hosting an International Junior tournament next week, and it is desired to show the course in its best light, do your bit to make this a show piece.
