RMGC Local Rule
Due to ongoing aeration works on the golf course a temporary local rule is being introduced with immediate effect and until further notice:
When a player’s ball lies in a part of the general area cut to fairway height or less, the player may take free relief once by marking and placing the ball within 15cm (6 inches) of the original ball, not nearer the hole. In proceeding under this Local Rule, the player must choose a spot to place the ball and use the procedures for replacing a ball under Rules 14.2b(2) and 14.2e.
For those not familiar with this temporary rule, if you are on a bare lie, in the General Area, relief may be taken as above. (If you are unable to get to grass within 15cm/6 inches – unlucky)
Richard Waterhouse
Vice Captain

Gentlemen,
Fantastic turn-out from our men’s section members for this epic battle! 54 players will battle it out, playing for Thomas Jacobsen in the Captain’s team (in Blue) or Richard Waterhouse the Vice-Captain’s Team (in White). I am taking a reserve list to ensure a smooth competition in case someone drops out late, which will require you to turn up for the 8:00am shotgun start without a guarantee of a game. Or if you can find 4 to join then we can add you. Please note handicap is 90% off the back-marker, and points are awarded for holes won, half a point for holes halved and a point for winning your match.
