September Medal 3rd-5th September

The September medal will be played over three days 3rd-5th September. A sign up is available via PSI and HowDidIDo. Book your tee times via the BRS system. We are in the middle of transitioning from CONGU to the World Handicapping system so you will not be able to enter your scores via the PSI terminals. If you have the ClubV1 Members hub or the HowDidIDo app on your phone/tablet you will be able to enter your scores via these apps. If you don’t have one of these apps why not download them now? If you have never registered for HowDidIDo you can do so using the email address that you gave to the club.

Advanced notice of course closure for urgent course maintenance

The course will be closed on 31st August, 14th, 15th, 16th September 2020. This is in order that the green keeping staff can apply chemicals, herbicides and pesticides safely, aeration of greens and other necessary seasonal works.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused during these vital works.

Dear Members

The last qualifier competition under the CONGU Unified Handicap System has just been played at the RMGC. CONGU have been exceptional to Malta and it has been a good relationship lasting several years during which we played golf here under their jurisdiction.

In the next few days, we shall be making the leap to change our handicapping system from CONGU to the WHS. The RMGC 2020-2021 season which is set to officially start on Friday 4th September will see us under a new handicapping system which by the end of this year would have been adopted almost entirely worldwide.

On the RMGC website [WHS PAPER] we are providing a paper to offer you some explanations ahead of this transition. We would have liked to do this during a presentation evening at the Club but COVID19 restrictions have not been favourable.

Please remember that at there are some educational videos on the WHS.

Enjoy the game and good luck for the new season.

Yours in golf

William Beck
