A blustery, cold morning welcomed over 60 competitors for one of the staple fixtures, as we remember a Club Legend.
Uber quick greens, combined with the wind made scoring tricky, at least for some.
Peter Naudi was edged out on countback by Mark Hollingsworth for 2nd (39) but collected a sleeve of balls, as did Giti Adibi as the leading lady.
But all looked up at the winner with a fine 40 points, and no less a Club Legend than the big man himself.

It was my pleasure also to welcome Victor, George and Joe from the Sliema Lions Club who outlined their charity of choice and my thanks to you for your generous donations. For those who preferred to donate from their competitions account, this will be deducted over the course of the seven days. We will announce the exact donation later this week.
This remains an important event in the calendar, where we can remember one of the Past Captains, whose character and enthusiasm and work, guided and formed the Club that it is today.
I think he would have taken some pleasure on todays winner, as he looked down from his picture in the Mangion suite.
