The season long competition reached its conclusion today, in excellent conditions, despite some Augusta type pin positions.
Scoring was the best of the season, by some distance, with those on 36 points not even garnering a single 00M point.
Best score on the day was Alessandro Pizzolotto (44), and a member of Nigel Hall’s team – of course.
Best Gross (64), JJ Micallef, equating to 40 points – and a member of – hang on – let me check – yes – Nigel Hall’s team.
No individual prizes but Alessandro collects the maximum 25 OOM points.
On the day, to the relief of many, Nigel Hall’s squad was denied first place, that going to the Captain’s Team, who also moved up to take the overall 2nd place from Ken Micallef’s Team.
If I need to mention the overall Team winners, then you simply aren’t paying attention – well done to Team Nigel Hall. Solid throughout the season.
In the individual, and a surprise to many, Irwin Gratil lifted the individual prize with none of the other three players in contention, able to improve their scores over the season. Well done Irwin. A little less drama at the presentation next time please…..
Final thanks to the sponsors, Alliance, and JJ. Your support is appreciated.
We now move on to the Homes of Quality, Aggregate Stableford, being played over next weekend, the final day with the Ladies.
