On a windswept weekend, scoring was far better than it should have been, players taking advantage of some downwind holes for the tougher par 4’s.

In Division 3, Mario Balzan Demajo (MBD) was spotted on the practise ground this week, and I believe is brandishing a new putter. He lifted 2nd place with a fine 63, but was edged out with an incredible 62, and a tied low score of the day by Maurice Gruppetta. Well done M, great shooting.

In Division 2, Samuel Azzopardi made his push for the Maltese team by posting a 66, but was edged out on countback by Miikka Mustonen for 2nd place. Both were a distant 2/3rd to Franco De Gabriele who equaled Maurice’s 62.

In the Top Division, Tim Cleasby continued his march to the OOM title by posting an early 67, and some OOM points that’s going to take a lot to surpass from here. But it was only good enough for 3rd.

Chairman Paul Stoner took 2nd, on countback.

Taking the spoils, after sitting down with, I have to say, a large group of players, post round, to complain about his age and back was Heinrich Koerling. He won by 3, for a 64. 🇩🇪

A note to the day. Worth a mention, Noah GRATIL finished 2,2 for a 69 showing his continued form.

7 twos in total including Noah’s brace.

Winners from each Division of course qualify for next Months Medal of Medals.

Thanks as ever to BOV for their continued support.
