This annual Bogey event is a favourite for some, not for all. Armoured with full handicap, it pits us in a matchplay situation vs The Course over 18 holes. Individually, we either beat it, or it beats us! Out of 103 starters, only seventeen beat The Course, nine ended all-square, and seventy-seven of us will try again next year.
The winner of the Malta Garrison Trophy for 2020 is Thomas Nicholls with a score of 6+. Well done Thomas! John Finnighan is the runner-up with 4+, whilst Bernard Bugeja, Adin Bundic and Peter Coleman tied for third place with 3+. Bernard placed 3rd, and Adin placed 4th on countback. Prize vouchers of €80, €60, €40 and €20 go to the top4 respectively.
Nineteen Twos were scored over the weekend, with Stephen Dodds bagging three of them. Well done Steve! Three balls for each Two.
Next weekend is the Harry Vardon, sponsored by Blevins Franks. It’s pairs, choose your own partner, aggregate medal. You may enter as an individual and I will do my best to help you pair up. Important that you sign up individually, and adjacent to your partner, on PSI/HDID/Clubv1 into your preferred day/time zone. And, equally important that you enter your individual scores into the system immediately after you’ve finished. The aggregate scores for each pair will be calculated manually.
Enjoy your golf,
