This trophy was made by J. Gloster Ltd. of Birmingham in 1918 and has been competed for since 1920. Exactly who or what “Andrews” was is not known. It has been suggested that "Andrews" may refer to the Royal Navy as the nickname of the RN is the Andrew, although no one knows why.
