September 19th marked a historic milestone for Royal Malta Golf Club, as we officially reopened our fully refurbished 18-hole golf course, unveiling a bold new chapter in our Club’s 135+ year legacy.

To commemorate this special day, Club Chairman Paul Stoner and renowned course architect Scott Macpherson struck the inaugural tee shots in front of an enthusiastic crowd of over 100 RMGC members and guests, a symbolic double drive that launched more than just a new course, but a new era in Mediterranean golf.

What’s New?

All 18 greens rebuilt to USGA specifications, enhancing playability, drainage and year-round quality.

Brand-new tees and reshaped bunkers to challenge all levels of golfers.

Improved course flow and aesthetics that blend harmoniously with the Club’s rich heritage and surrounding landscape.

Designed with precision and respect for tradition, the new layout offers a dynamic yet accessible test of golf, suitable for members, visitors, and international guests alike. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a beginner, the updated course guarantees a world-class golfing experience.

“We’ve preserved the soul of RMGC while elevating the standard,” said architect Scott MacPherson. “This course now ranks among the finest in the region.”

As Malta’s only golf course, the new Royal Malta Golf Club is ready to reaffirm its place as a jewel in the Mediterranean – a course steeped in history, now equipped for the future.

Come see the transformation for yourself.
