This month sees Malta host the 39th Medi Games. The World Medical and Health Games have become the most famous world health event open to members of the medical and health professions since its inception in 1978. The World Medical and Health Games are an opportunity for participants of all levels to compete together and to play their favourite sports in a superb atmosphere of friendship and excitement. Each year up to 2,000 people take part in this fantastic sporting and professional gathering, representing over 40 countries, all in the spirit of the Olympics, for the beauty of sport and the benefit of effort.
The RMGC will be one of 20 host sporting venues (the Marsa Sports Club is hosting several events too) and will stage a 3 day competition on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st June 2018. From a members perspective the course will be open to members on every afternoon from 13.30 on the three days. Our very own medical professionals, David Debono, Edwin Mifsud, Jan Janula and Michael Balzan, will be taking part in the event and we wish them all the best. David has actually be chosen as one of the sporting ambassadors for the games (picture below) Please feel free to come down and watch the event and cheer the local boys on.
