Some tricky wind conditions and some pin positions that would have had John Rahm taking the weekend off, greeted the RMGC Stableford, a staple on the golfing calendar.
Making light work of it was winner, Woo Kim, with 42 points. Woo, a new member, hails from South Korea, is in fact in Malta for an extended honeymoon for 12 months, so clearly marriage is working for his golf game, unlike the rest of us. Well done Woo, you collect the maximum 25 OOM points.
In second and just edged out of 1st was Frenchman, Alex Lemire on 41 points, a great score in more difficult wind conditions on Friday, and showing good form ahead of his Creasy Cup Final match with Les White.
In 3rd, with a highly credibly 39 points was Moses Kiberu, nudging out Patrick Balldachio and Peter Canaki on countback.
8 players with Twos, including Thomas Jacobsen who bagged two, including an Eagle on 18.
No sponsor to thank this week, but now we move on to the third of the seasons Majors, the Johnnie Walker Scratch Challenge, and Kinnaird Trophy, presented by M Demajo Wines and Spirits.
We look forward to seeing MBD work his magic next week.
Thank you for your support.
