In the major, The Laferla Trophy, the Tartan Army led the charge into RMGC this weekend with Bryan Peterkin (32) taking second overall place and a chunk of OOM points.
3/4/5th was taken by Andrew Naudi, Matthew Mangion and Zhetang Zhang respectively – all with 33.
Consolation prizes were awarded for the best Day 1 and Day 2 rounds to Kim Borg and James Lynam, both recording excellent one rounds scores. James pipping Stephen Knights on CB.
But Mr Consistent and all round Jock, Steve Patterson, took the spoils by only one shot from Bryan. He now leads the OOM, collects 50 points and that wonderful trophy.
In the popular addition of the Laferla 36, David Zammit Tabona edged out Eugene Cranley for 3rd, but was usurped by the other Eugene (McCooey) and Phil Denton, both on 74 points but Phil had a superior back 18. Well done Phil !
