Members who joined us on Tuesday 22 September will have seen the Club welcome BNF Bank as our newest Premium Partner.

The signing ceremony took place alongside our Annual General Meeting, on an evening when we also welcomed our new Club Captain, Tim Cleasby, and Lady Captain, Maria Camilleri Sandu.

This three-year partnership begins on 1 October 2026. For our members, its greatest value lies in the support it will give to young golfers and to those finding their feet at the Club.

Investing in our young golfers

BNF Bank will become Title Partner of our Junior Academy, which welcomes more than 100 children each season. The Academy gives young golfers a place to learn the game, enjoy it with others and develop over time. We are pleased to have a partner supporting that work and the families who are part of it.

A warm welcome to the game

The partnership will also support our Happy Gilmores section. For members who are new to golf or have recently joined the Club, Happy Gilmores offers a friendly way to get involved through fortnightly play, learning opportunities and regular presentations. BNF’s support will help us continue to develop that experience.

More to enjoy on the playing calendar

Members will also see BNF Bank’s involvement in two events. The Harry Vardon Trophy will become the BNF Scramble Championship for the Harry Vardon Trophy, and we will introduce an annual BNF Invitational, bringing together golf and hospitality for invited guests and the Club community.

Building a lasting partnership

Club Chairman Paul Stoner led the RMGC delegation at the signing. BNF Bank was represented by Chief Banking Officer Glen Smith, Senior Branch Manager Samuel Cassar, Branch Manager and Supervisor Tiziana Cassar, and Senior Marketing Officer Islam Baatout.

Stewart Davies, the Club’s finance lead, said:

“We are delighted to welcome BNF as our newest partner, complementing Deloitte, Laferla Insurance and Perry’s Agents. During negotiations, we were greatly impressed by their focus on building relationships, which is equally important to us as a Club.

“As a direct sponsor of the Junior Academy, commencing on 1 October 2026, and the Happy Gilmores section, BNF will help us enhance the experience of those who are new to golf. We greatly appreciate their support.”

We look forward to seeing this partnership become part of Club life and to sharing its benefits with members and their families in the seasons ahead.
