Cup Insights
The format for this competition is Match play over 18 holes. The Lady Captain and her Vice-Captain draw the teams and notify their players. These two ladies sort their teams into pairs and allocate a start time to each. On the morning of the competition the 2 start sheets are put on the notice board. The element of surprise adds to the occasion. Traditionally, the Captain’s team wears blue and the Vice-Captain’s team white.
The players of the winning team (Captain’s or Vice-Captain’s) are rewarded with a ball.
The competition is usually followed by a glass of wine supplied by the Captain and Vice Captain.
